About Lumbini Tea Valley

In 1975 along the valley of Lumbini Dayapala Jayawardana planted his first tea field. His vision was to create a great tasting tea that reflect the true character of the tea leaves and the land. To this day Chaminda Jayawardana live and breath this vision by producing teas that showcase how each tea variety express itself when sharpened by the soil and the sun of Ceylon.

The oxygen rich rain forest winds flowing from Singharaja along with the sea breeze making it’s way from the Southern Coast create this miraculous combination of winds to induce unique flavour and aromatic medium bodied tea which leaves natural sweetness in the mouth. Master tea Tasters commonly call this unique flavour as rain forest floral honey flavour.
