Chicago International Tea Festival, A Day All About Tea

Even though USA is a coffee dominating market, tea is slowly gaining in popularity thanks to health and wellness trend specially among younger generation. Due to this emerging trend, tea festivals are held in areas like Seattle, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Kansas City, Pennsylvania etc. Chicago International Tea Festival is one of them which USA tea lovers should keep under their radar.

Basic Information about The Festival is As Follows,

Dates: November 1, 2 & 3, 2019

Venue: Holiday Inn Mart Plaza, Chicago River North, Chicago, Illinois

Introduction

In brief, it is a day all about tea. Here you will have the pleasure of learning about tea, tea preparation, tea culture and history and many tea tastings

More than 40 national and international vendors who will be selling and sampling their teas for guests. Also there will be some craftspeople who create tea-related art. All of the vendors on the floor will have at least a 50% focus on tea or tea-related items.

There will be over 80 classes and lectures to continue tea education for both tea industry insiders and the tea consuming public and they also have something new for the industry and consumers – a Livestream class selection. You can attend 14 lectures remotely if you cannot attend in person. These lectures will also be recorded and accessible on demand later to those who purchase the Livestream class package. There are also special meal events on November 1 where attendees can connect with luminaries of the tea industry, with representatives of tea producing cultures and network with others in the tea trade.

12:00pm-1:30pm: Lunch with Cultural Dignitaries (ticket required)

6:30-8:00pm:Opening Night Casual Cocktail Reception (ticket required)

November 2 ~ Industry & Consumer

8:00am: Attendee Registration opens

9:00am-4:00pm: Vendor floor open to attendees

9:00am-4:00pm: ITCC People’s Choice Tea Competition (voting included with admission)

10:00am-4:00pm: Classes & Workshops (additional cost)

10:00am-4:00pm: Wolf Point Ballroom Lectures & Demonstrations (included w/ admission)

November 3 ~ Industry & Consumer

8:00am: Attendee Registration opens

9:00am-4:00pm: Vendor floor open to attendees

9:00am-1:00pm: ITCC People’s Choice Tea Competition (included with admission)
