First Single-Estate Charity Tea Will be Available Soon in UK

Transparency has become a key driving trends in the tea industry due to the demand arisen from the consumer. Modern day tea drinkers are willing to know exactly from where the teas have come in to their humble cuppa. By considering this trend, Reputed British tea company, Teapigs, have developed their first single-estate Rwandan tea exclusively for British supermarkets like Waitrose & Partners. As Tea and Coffee journal reported (https://www.teaandcoffee.net/), A 50 pound donation from each pack goes to the teapigs ethical scheme which assists educational projects in the tea growing nations. Even though the exact tea base (Grade) is still unclear, this product will certainly be a hit thanks to it’s ethical claim.

This pack will be available from the 29 April in selected Waitrose & Partners stores across the UK and online at https://www.teapigs.co.uk/tea from the end of March.

When developing this wonderful ethical tea, teapigs asked the students from the “House of Children” school which is supported by The Point Foundation to design a pattern for the pack. “We’re really proud of our ethical scheme and the huge amount of support from our customers who help us make a big difference to the community that brings us this delicious tea” said Louise, teapigs co-founder and tea taster. “The new tea we’ve created for Waitrose will have the largest on-pack donation we’ve ever done. It’s a strong, brisk breakfast tea and it will withstand a good amount of biscuit dunking”

teapigs launched their own ethical scheme in 2006 working with The Point Foundation. The scheme gives care for young people in Ginsenyi, Rwanda who are suffering from disabilities, sponsors children through school and university and provides vocational training and development. Almost £300k has been donated to these projects from sales of teapigs teas.

Therefore, why don’t you contribute to this great charity by purchasing this product once it’s available.
