This news is about another MOU signed by tea board of Sri Lanka with Myung Won Cultural Foundation at the Myung Won World Tea Expo in Seoul, South Korea. Chairman of the Lanka Tea Board Mr Lucille Wijewardena signed the agreement with the Chairperson of the Myung Won Cultural Foundation Ms Kim Euijung.

The Myung Won Cultural Foundation carries on the legacy of the pioneer of Korean tea, Myung Won Kim Mi Hee. The foundation is recognized as the head family of the Korean traditional tea ceremony. So this MOU will certainly assist Ceylon tea to be more popular in the Republic of South Korea !

c. Even though Sri Lanka is a small Island which is also know as “The Pearl of Indian Ocean”, “Asia’s Sweet Heart” and “The Wonder of Asia”, the diversity (Regional difference) of Ceylon Tea is quite amazing. One would enjoy a light, fragrant Nuwara-Eliya Tea from the highest mountain peak with Citrus notes while another is enjoying a strong, full bodied Ruhuna Tea from Ruhuna region situated in the down south. More details on regional diversity will be discussed desperately.

d. Sensory-wise, Ceylon Tea has got a well-balanced taste with ideal strength, flavor and aroma for a perfect cup of tea.

e. Although hand shears and mechanical tea harvesters are used pluck at very few tea fields, Sri Lankan tea is plucked exclusively by human hand.

Hope you would love to deserve above benefits. All you need to do is to fetch some Ceylon Tea from the nearest store / tea shop / super market and prepare a steaming pot of tea to enjoy with your loving ones.
