Tea Board Signed A MOU to Own www.ceylontea.com
Ceylon Tea coming from the resplendent island nation, Sri Lanka is recognized for her well balanced tasting profile by tea connoisseurs all over the globe. Sri Lanka Tea Board (SLTB) is the government body which is responsible for international promotion of Pure Ceylon Tea. On 10th Aug, I reported about the Korean tea importers meeting with Sri Lanka tea board chairman. Further to that, as Sri Lanka tea board had reported, SLTB chairman & Lotte chairman signed a MoU to hand over the domain name www.ceylontea.com to SLTB at lotte Head Office Seoul, South Korea on 09th August 2019 at no cost. This MoU is an important milestone which the SLTB achieved recently prior to this domain name was fully owned by the multinational giant Lotte Group of companies in South Korea.
The financial value of a vital domain such as this is immeasurable in today’s business atmosphere and also for mother Sri Lanka famous who owns the National Brand “Ceylon Tea”. In order to appreciate this socially responsible initiative of donating the domain to the SLTB by the Lotte Group; Mr. Lucille Wijewardhane (Chairman) and Hiran Wijesinghe(Assistant Director IT) arrived South Korea and accepted the ownership & sign the MoU.

Even though Sri Lanka is a small Island which is also know as “The Pearl of Indian Ocean”, “Asia’s Sweet Heart” and “The Wonder of Asia”, the diversity (Regional difference) of Ceylon Tea is quite amazing. One would enjoy a light, fragrant Nuwara-Eliya Tea from the highest mountain peak with Citrus notes while another is enjoying a strong, full bodied Ruhuna Tea from Ruhuna region situated in the down south. More details on regional diversity will be discussed desperately.
d. Sensory-wise, Ceylon Tea has got a well-balanced taste with ideal strength, flavor and aroma for a perfect cup of tea.
e. Although hand shears and mechanical tea harvesters are used pluck at very few tea fields, Sri Lankan tea is plucked exclusively by human hand.
Hope you would love to deserve above benefits. All you need to do is to fetch some Ceylon Tea from the nearest store / tea shop / super market and prepare a steaming pot of tea to enjoy with your loving ones.
