Which Part of Britain Brings The Best Tea Brew?

Tea is a way of life in Great Britain. Since the introduction of tea by Portuguese princess Catherine in 1662 A.D Brits slowly developed their love affair with this wonderful beverage. Eventually it became the national beverage in the nation. There are several regions in Britain, but have you ever thought from where you can enjoy the best tea brew. Today I am bringing you views from James Green the owner of “Tea from The Manor” expressed at an interview with Helen Pidd

As Mr. Green mentioned ” Lancastrians may have won the Wars of the Roses* and be vastly better at football than our transpennine rivals, but, by ’eck, the brew bearing my county’s name is an insipid affair. More than once I had to go back to the cupboard and check I hadn’t picked up a decaf bag in error. Lancashire Tea is murky. It has a sinister tinge of that slightly bruised purple you get when suffering a tea with the good stuff removed”

Green added further “But before Yorkshire folk get too cocky, their brew didn’t come out top in my tasting test. That honour went to Ringtons of Newcastle. Forget the Wars of the Roses: the Geordies win the Guardian’s tea tussle”. So according to him Ringtons is the best tea brew. Green has come to this conclusion after comparing Yorkshire Tea, Lancashire Tea, Cornish Tea, West Country Tea, Welsh Tea and Ringtons plus the tea which is grown in Scotland Kinnettles Gold.

According to “The Guardian”, Kinnettles Gold is the only tea could find that is grown wholly in Britain. But “Tea with Nipun” is well aware of tea grown in Cornwall and Devon.

Anyway, Tea lovers all over Britain may have different views based on their personal preferences. Whatever it is, Tea is providing them stimulation (From Alkaloids), Relaxation (From L-theanine) and priceless health benefits (Thanks to Anti-Oxidants). Who knows, Tea might be the secret behind building such a massive British empire all over the world.
