World-Recognized Tea Brand Dilmah to Launch Iced Tea with Beverage Partners International (BPI)
In modern days, people have got busy life styles. So the convenience has become a key factor when it comes to marketing. By the way, as FoodBev Media had reported, Beverage Partners International (BPI) has announced that moving forward, they will hold the licensing opportunity for world-recognized tea brand Dilmah.
Moshy Cohen, CEO of BPI said “We are very proud to partner with Dilmah and offer our global partners an opportunity to license Dilmah Iced Tea. Dilmah has a meaningful brand awareness and great brand equity across the world”.
The global market for iced tea is forecast at over 60 billion litres and is expected to see more growth alongside consumer demand for healthy products. Increasing awareness on the sugar content of beverages has been linked to rose demand for iced tea, and the development of new products within the category is set to create many opportunities for beverage firms.
Just like brand’s hot tea offering, the Elixir of Ceylon Iced Tea range is manufactured from hand-plucked real tea leaves, meaning it contain the full flavour and antioxidants of brewed tea.
The company is planning to use natural sweetness for the latest iced Tea range coming from a combination of honey, cane sugar and stevia to give a low-calorie chilled ived tea (below 20 calories per 100ml).
In a situation when the demand for craft beer and other craft beverages are increasing all over the globe, Dilmah iced tea gives a unique offering which plays into consumer demand for individualised products. Rather than a ‘one-size-fits-all’ iced tea product, a range of delicious fruit flavours will be utilized for this new iced tea range. Those flavours are,
- Peach
- Ginger & Apple,
- Rose & Vanilla,
- Mango
- Others
These are blended with hand-picked tea leaf blends to create perfectly matched flavour combinations.
Dilmah is a Sri Lankan tea brand which sells Ceylon tea internationally. The company was founded in 1988 by Merrill J Fernando. The name Dilmah was chosen by combining the first names of founder’s sons Dilhan and Malik. It is now available in over 100 nations around the world.
